Making Of. and Conclusion

originally when i thought making of video i was going to do a short animatic with a chibi character with some of my features, presenting it and adding some comic relief to an otherwise cheesy and awkward video, the storyboards showed the character pulling in examples, info graphics and even reacting to short clips of animation. however after discussing it with class members it was a quicker powerpoint presentation style making of required.

however as i was making the powerpoint i decided i would do a best of both, and i recorded the project wall in my office, albeit very shaky and i wish id taken more care or at least motion tracked and stabilised it in editing.
Hopefully the final making of is a small idea of just my design process in this project from start to finish but also shows my real physical design process with a little insight into my ongoing visuals and a piece of key work material i used every step of the way unlike powerpoint.

overall i think the animation was a success and not only visualises heaneys midterm break but it takes it that step beyond and looks at it from a different perspective i think, whilst still staying true to the story and and people, this project allowed for interpretation in our own medium and style, and im very pleased with the final outcome, heaney is an inspiration to many from school children to political leaders, and im very proud to have been basing my work on his words.
although 2d animation probably wasnt his favourite form of art, i thought i would try mix up the submissions, and i already have a film piece, although my time limits running closer to the deadline didnt appreciate it, now everything is complete i think this was a very inspirational and open project and will likely add it to my final year show reel.
